Our guides are full-time professionals and on the river every day.  Their knowledge and skills will help you understand the techniques used to be successful.  Float trips are available on the North Branch, Mainstream, South Branch, and Mio "Trophy Water" of the Au Sable, as well as the Manistee River.  Anglers should bring layered clothing, rain gear, flies, and appropriate dry fly and streamer outfits.  Our boats can easily carry extra pre-rigged outfits.   Equipment is provided if necessary, excluding flies.

Personalized fishing instruction for those who prefer to wade is available.  For many, this one-on-one approach is perfect for honing fly fishing skills that will stay with you for a lifetime. Presentation and reading the water are keys to any successful flyfishing trip, and for many the demanding Au Sable water is the perfect classroom.  This instruction is geared to the beginner and intermediate level angler.  Rental waders and equipment are available.

The Au Sable Riverboat is an idyllic way to fish the river. (Especially for anglers who prefer not to wade.) A craft unique to our river and used since the turn of the century, these beautiful wooden boats make an ideal fishing platform.
